Bengals at Ravens - The Ravens have a rookie at QB and an aging defense. The Bengals have a questionable defense, but they do have a decent offense. Palmer and company should be good enough to pull this one out against the old Raven defense.

Chiefs at Patriots - This one should be close for about.....oh, seven minutes. Kansas City's offense will struggle against the Patriots, and the Patriots offense won't struggle against the Chiefs defense. Larry Johnson will be taken out of this game early.

Jaguars at Titans - This could be a close, low scoring game. Titan defense struggled down the stretch last season, but they're not horrible. Jags offense a bit conservative. Titan's inability to score will be the difference. Could be a long day for Vince Young.

Seahawks at Bills - Seahawks need to establish running game early. Bills may struggle on offense against solid defense. Will Bills offense get on track? Look for a tight game ultimately going to a better Seahawk team.

Rams at Eagles - Rusty Steven Jackson, shaky Bulger, no Bruce, and a lousy defense vs a healthy and confident Eagle team at home. Westbrook will have a big day.

Panthers at Chargers - Panthers without only WR weapon in Smith...not that it would make a difference here.

Bears at Colts - Manning may be rusty, but Addai won't be. Chicago is decent against the run, but it won't take Manning more than a half to get his timing back. Bears will need to get their running game going early to be in this game. Wrong matchup for Chicago in week 1.

Vikings at Packers - Perhaps most questionable game in week 1. Rodgers is hit or miss, and running game could be stuffed by Vikes run defense. Can Packers stop Peterson? If game is left to Rodgers, could be jitters.

Jets at Dolphins - Favre will be good, but key to game will be whether Pennington can beat his old defense, or Mangini knows a way to shut down his former QB. Both know each other, but the bet is on Mangini being able to devise a plan to stop Chad. Thomas Jones will be key to Jets offense.

Texans at Steelers - Texans may be under-rated and Steelers may be over-rated. Game will be close. Willie Parker is the main back, but who's the goal line scorer? Steelers should be able to contain Texan running game, but Schaub is no slouch. Ultimately, look for Steelers passing game to come through.

Lions at Falcons - If Atlanta had to open against somebody, better it be Detriot than most other teams. Lions will put points on the scoreboard, but Atlanta may do the same. High scoring game is probable here. Lions have the better offense which may make the difference here.

Buccaneers at Saints - Can Saints get running game going? Bucs still under-rated despite making playoffs last season. Earnest Graham is also under-rated, yet he should be the difference in this game. Bucs can keep Brees in check for most part.

Cowboys at Browns - Two good teams, two good offenses, but Dallas has the better defense. Browns will still score points, but Dallas will score more.

Cardinals at 49ers - Warner to Boldin and Fitzgerald all day. Frank Gore can't do it alone. It won't be close despite Cardinals being on the road.

Broncos at Raiders - Oakland should be fun to watch, even when they lose. Can Broncos running game get on track? You have to like Cutler in this matchup, but Oakland's better than last season...not good...but better.
